I have seen it work for them many times but it is quite interesting to be on the other side! I cataloged my first week on sertraline before I went back to work. This is funny because I'm a doctor and I often prescribe SSRI medication to patients with depression and anxiety. Sertraline exceeded my expectations in treating my anxiety. I have very mild anxiety 1-2 times a week that lasts for a few minutes. It is now two months later and I am completely panic attack free.

I took a week off work and started sertraline 50mg daily. This increased in frequency over time and soon I was having panic attacks at work and anxiety and panic every day. My anxiety and panic used to only bother me for 2-3 day stretches once every few months. I have had issues with anxiety and panic attacks for several years but it had never interfered significantly with my personal life or at work before a few months ago. I believe though the Zoloft is a keeper Edited Januby ethecraftlady I would be lying if I said I wasn't concerned about the dosage not working but if it does happen I will call the doctor back. I have not gain any weight, I'm sleeping better then ever and I have my life back. Only time will tell if this is the correct dosage or not. This is only my second week at this dosage but everything seems to be evening out. I called the doctor and he up the dosage to 100mg. The doctor started me out on 50 mg of Zoloft which seem to be helping but then after about six weeks the panic attacks and depression came back. I went back to him at the request of my husband who I was driving nuts due to the panic attacks. Once again I stop taking it thinking I could over come the panic attack and depression I felt into. After six months the panic came back and he prescribed Cymbolta but I was experiencing dizziness while taking it. He place me on Effexor XR which I took for 4 years but I stop taking it thinking I was OK. Needles to say I switched doctors that day. He was able to confirm it was not Ms but rather anxiety from the accident along w/whip lash. I quickly got a second opinion from another doctor. I was told by my current doctor at the time that it was MS. I was feeling pins and needles through out my entire body. I suffer severe whip lash and sprains and strains. It all started about four years ago I was rear ended by a tractor trailer. With the stigma attached to MI and ESPECIALLY AD's let's prove that they CAN and DO help. Share your story and let's get the discussion going. It will not only give those new to Z a place for inspiration and hope, but also let our members share their positive experiences with each other. We here at DF would like to hear your success stories about Zoloft. This needs to be fixed for sure so I'm adding this topic. I noticed that most of the other medication rooms have a success story thread pinned, but our Z room here doesn't.
